Yep. I'm jumping in.
Papa told me not to get into politics until I was 50. He said by then I'd be ruined anyway. I'll be 49 in the election year, so close enough. And maybe, just maybe, not yet ruined.
I'm running for US Senate in 2026. The campaign is already underway. You can learn more and join the cause here.
I wanted to come over here to Life on Clemson Road, a blog that has been dormant since 2021, to report on that latest development for all of you who have been here since the beginning. Most of you have followed me to UnapologeticallyX when I published After December. Or you found me on Write On SC or Parenting Porcupines. A lot of you have just kept up with life on Clemson Road as it was being lived elsewhere.
Here are some of the other properties if you're just a super savvy investigator looking for links to this US Senate candidate:
Moore Impact - the Darla Moore School of Business podcast of which I am the host and producer.
Clemson Road Creative - the boutique consultancy of which I am the founder and principal consultant.
Facebook page for the writer business including the group for my writerly fans Teddy Ruxpin's Book Club.
I have been creating content for a LONG time. So here are a few You Tube channels where you can see me, too:
Clemson Road Creative - for a while we were working on teaching consultants how to run consultancies and then Jodie and I published a book. So we had these videos to talk about that stuff.
This episode of In the Stacks featured me and After December.
This is the bad ass book trailer that Fanatik Productions did for After December. It's on the amazing Alexa Bigwarfe's channel for Write | Publish | Sell. She was the visionary publisher who created Chrysalis Press for fiction and published both of my first two novels.
This is the campaign announcement that YouTube somehow picked up from Instagram.
This is me repping the SC Libertarian Party on FOX24 in Charleston.
This is me on Open Mic night at the Pat Conroy Literary Center.
This is me on Free Advice Fridays with Keri Barnum and my favorite hair ever, too, BTW.
This is me crying on YouTube. Seriously. I received the Fresh Voices in the Humanities Award and hastily wrote my acceptance speech onto my phone before getting up to receive the award. I didn't rehearse. So when I started reading it, I got emotional.
Okay, that's not all the times I was on the internet. For real, Google search yourself silly. You'll find me. I may even show up in ChatGPT somewhere.
But here's what matters most, my candidate listing at Ballotpedia. It's really happening, folks. So stay tuned! Although, maybe not to this channel as it's not updated that often.
